Zona Campolongo

Campolongo is a small residential area located south of the city centre of Pontevedra. It is a friendly tranquil neighbourhood, with tree-lined streets, well-kept residential buildings, and spacious green parks between modern residential buildings. The city centre is only a few blocks away, making access to major commercial districts and government services very convenient.

An additional advantage of living in Campolongo are the surrounding neighbourhood parks. These green areas provide fresh air, comfortable shade, and a relaxing verdant contrast against the residential buildings. 

The parks of Praza da Liberdade (Freedom Square), Paseo do Río Gafos (Gafos River Walk), Parque infantil Campolongo (Campolongo playground), and the Praza de Galicia (Plaza de Galicia) have walking and jogging paths, benches, and playgrounds. Families take their dogs for a walk and enjoy the peaceful respite that the gardens and trees of the parks offer.

For recreational options, Campolongo has El bowl, a skateboard park and the BeOne Campolongo - Centro Deportivo Municipal, a community sports complex with modern fitness equipment, an indoor swimming pool, and fitness classes such as Zumba, Pilates, and Crossfit Trainings. The locals’ favourite restaurants in the area are Casa Román which serves authentic Galician cuisine, and Mare e Monti which offers Italian menu selections. 

The alfresco seating of the cafes of A Filloa and Panadería Acuña and their freshly baked bread and pastries make them a perfect breakfast or tea time venue.
