Sanxenxo

Sanxenxo is a beautiful coastal province of Pontevedra in the southern region of O Salnés.  It is known for its stunning beaches, and is one of the most popular destinations among the tourist capitals of the Rías Baixas. Commerce in the area grows steadily owing to the wealth of activities, sports, cuisine, and the area’s natural beauty.

There are several coastal beaches in Sanxenxo with clear waters and white sand.  Among the most frequented is Tomás Abril Beach, a village beach which has clear waters and is ideal for the mobility challenged.  Another beach visited is Playa da Panadeira, it is a small beach in front of the marina that is near the lifeguard station, toilets and shower facilities.  With calm waters and a children’s playground, it is ideal for children. 

After a relaxing day at the beach or an adventure in the town, experience relaxed dining from one of the sea view restaurants that flourish in the area.  Offering exquisite and innovative dishes, Bar Berberecho has an interesting speciality menu of salads, pies, goat ice cream, grilled cheese, spicy onions, scallops, and grilled octopus.  Restaurante Penaguda II in Rúa offers savoury seafood, meats dishes, and creamy desserts and pastries.   

O Toño in Av. Luis Rocafort has a variety of homemade dishes including clams, rice paella, octopus, and desserts.

Boat enthusiasts can visit Real Club Nautico de Sanxenxo where more than 400 students are trained each year for cruises and high competition sailing.

For stylish drinks and dancing in the summer, Pub Varadero offers Alfresco dining with spectacular views of the marina.  Dorsia in Praza Aviador Piñeiro provides an overlooking view of the beach to enjoy a good drink.
