About the region

The Castellero development sits just outside the city of Asti, to the east of Turin. Asti is considered the modern capital of Monferrato, part of the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. Monferrato is famous for its wine production, and is considered one of the most important wine districts in the country. The area is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as of 2014, and has been recognised as such for its vineyards as much as for its Renaissance art and architecture.
