1. How did you start at E&V?
By coincidence actually! A friend of mine that knows the company suggested me to give it a try, and I do not regret my decision at all! I have worked for many years in Sales at the Hotel and F&B Industry. I speak fluently three languages and I had the feeling I could enjoy the Real Estate sector! A week later, after two interviews I was starting at the Engel & Völkers El Rosario Shop.
2. How have you progressed in the brand?
Since I come from an absolutely different sales field there was a lot of uncertainness the first months, at the beginning I dedicated lots of time to get familiar with the different areas and properties we have on our portfolio, then I was assigned my farming area, Río Real, Santa Clara and Altos de los Monteros. Also important to progress on this first step was the big help of my colleagues and the Sales Director in Marbella East, who supported me and helped me become who I am today in the company!
3. What has been the key to your success?
The apple tree…I see the Real Estate market as an apple tree! If you look at it, it is full of apples but if you shake it, 20% of the apples are mature and ready to be eaten, so I put a lot of effort on this 20% of apples.
I want the owners to understand that if we want to sell we have to offer an attractive product in terms of location, qualities and price. It sounds very simple but it is quite difficult most of the times…very often the position of the vendors is: "Leonardo, I don't need the money, I don't need to sell" to what I answer: "But I need the money and I have to sell"
4. What is so special about your area?
When I enter Río Real, I feel tranquility. It is a sort of peace of mind, with all the green surroundings, the trees, golf courses… it feels nice, quiet, elegant. Río Real is a green valley only 3 minutes far from Marbella and less than 30 min to the Málaga International Airport. The Río Real Golf was the first golf course in Marbella and still today is considered one of the best golf courses in the Costa del Sol. But the most relevant feature is still to come, the high-end hotel Four Season will settle in Río Real, with a top luxury hotel, villas, shops, restaurants and even a beach club.
The Four Seasons Project will definitely bring Marbella East to a higher level and this will reflect at the price of properties in Río Real for sure!
5. Which properties would you highlight in your area?
If I have to choose one I would go for a fantastic Penthouse in Río Real Playa, one of the very few properties that can make you feel you are touching the sea and sky at the same time. Now under 2 Million Euros !!
