The last third of the year has begun. The holidaymakers are getting fewer, the children are going back to school, the island is gradually emptying and peace is slowly returning.
But what does Mallorca have to offer in autumn?
Autumn is considered one of the most beautiful seasons on the island. The temperatures cool down and you can still enjoy a pleasant 25 to 29 degrees at the end of September. October is also mostly sunny and dry with average temperatures of 22 to 25 degrees. In Mallorca you can still participate in a variety of activities in autumn - but without the heat in summer.
There are many good reasons to stay in Mallorca in autumn!
More space on the Island
During the summer time there are few free places at the beaches and even the most hidden bays are often densely populated. From September Mallorca offers emptier beaches and also the sea is still pleasantly warm after the summer months. You can still go swimming until November.
Shopping and bargains
The high season is coming to an end and the small alleys in Palmas are calming down. The crowds are dwindling and the cathedral La Seu can also be visited without much waiting. Also when booking hotels and flights, offers should now be compared.
Hiking and cycling
Autumn is ideal to discover and marvel at the beautiful mountains of Mallorca - on foot or by bike. For example, the Tramuntana Mountains in the west of the island are suitable for this. Here you have an impressive view with several mountain peaks. Cycling is also ideal in the south-east of the island, for example in the Mondragó Nature Park with its beautiful beaches and dunes. The tours can be ideally combined with a visit to the beach.
Mallorca offers a wonderful autumn - enjoy the atmosphere of the "eternal" summer.
