The ingredients you will need to prepare a typical Mallorquin almond Turrón are:
Firstly, you will need to warm the honey on a medium flame in a saucepan until the water has evaporated completely. Then add the sugar and mix well with a wooden spoon. In a separate bowl, extract the egg whites and blend it well until it becomes stiff-like texture.
Once you have the texture correct, add the mixture of honey and sugar to it and mix it well for ten minutes without stopping. Then put it on slow flame and let it caramelize. Once the mixture has caramelized, add the peeled almonds. Mix it all well again and let it cool.
Meanwhile line the moulds you are going to use with kitchen bakery paper. Once cooled, pour the mixture into them and let it sit for two and a half hours. And you will have your Mallorquin Turrón ready for Christmas!
