If you do not use direct debit for your local tax payments (property tax, tax on mechanised vehicles, tax on business capital or annual municipal taxes), this news is of your interest.
From 2018 on, for the annual payment of local taxes during the voluntary period, the Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands (ATIB) will not send notifications per ordinary mail anymore.
In order to obtain your notifications and to do the payments, a service called CARTERO VIRTUAL DE AVISOS has been enabled on the website www.atib.es where you can access to all the receipts that you used to receive by ordinary mail.
The new procedure requires a registration on the website with your NIF and your taxpayer code. Once inside the system, you can set up several options, including receiving the payments notifications per Email. For any further questions or doubts, you can contact the Tax Agency of the Balearic Islands or go to your nearest office.
