Celebrate harvest festival in Alcudia

Every year in early October, the residents gather together to celebrate its harvest festival. The Fira d’Alcudia 2019 takes place from October 4 to 6 and this year is the 31st anniversary of the event that throws a spotlight on the agriculture and wealth of arts & crafts generated in both the town and the surrounding countryside.

The focus of the 2019 fiestas will be a Roman market with ancient Roman games, performances and re-enactments.  On Saturday, October 5, the Estol del Rei en Jaume will be a family-friendly parade of carnival figures dressed up as characters from Mallorca’s rich history.

The Fira d’Alcudia, and further fiestas throughout the year including the arrival of the Three Kings, San Antonio and Carnival, among many others, underlines how the town and the area surrounding it are ideal for anyone looking to make a permanent base on the island with plenty of activity outside of the summer season.
