Engel & Völkers Mallorca has donated 30.000 euros to Lions Club

Charity begins at home - So the saying goes and the Engel & Völkers Mallorca “Family” of 150 real estate agents and employees on the island and over 30 years in Mallorca, is happy to give back and help its local community on our beloved island that we call home. Now more than ever we take our social responsibility seriously and consequently support various charities, environmental organisations, as well as local foundations including Aldeas Infantiles, the Mallorca Preservation Foundation, HOPE Mallorca EV, Save the Med, SOS Turismo and Cleanwave. We help, not only with financial donations or financing of specific projects, but also by giving our time as volunteers to help such as collecting and distributing toys for children at Christmas.

"Comida para todos"- Engel & Völkers Mallorca now supports the Lions Club to help families in need

Since the pandemic struck last year, so many families have been directly affected in one way or another and as the situation has dragged on the problems for people struggling to make ends meet have increased. Engel & Völkers Mallorca is committed to supporting the Lions Club to carry out their fantastic work and is proud to give back to the local community so that together we can come through these challenging times. 

The Lions Club organises a team of drivers to pick up produce from supermarkets and in turn to distribute those goods to various charitable organisations and food banks around the island.  Some of the organisations that depend on the continued support of the Lions Club to help children and adults in need in their local communities and include:

- Zaqueo (provides cooked meals daily to people in need)

- Mallorca Sense Fam (food bank)

- Can Gaza and Fundacion Minyones (supporting children)

- SOS Mamas (supporting mothers)

- HOPE Mallorca E.V. (food bank)

- Paguera helps Paguera (food bank)

This extraordinary charitable organisation manages to organise food collections 6 days a week and delivers fresh goods and a range of basic, essential items such as powdered milk and nappies for infants to food banks throughout the island to provide an essential lifeline for over 8,000 people.

Engel & Völkers Mallorca has donated 30.000 euros to help the Lions Club and is aiming for raising more funds to support the most vulnerable in the local community.  All of us can help in so many different ways to make a big difference and help people that are suffering most in the pandemic. “Comida para todos” (Food for all) is an opportunity to support local communities to provide people in need with food and help them get through this crisis and feed their families.
