Engel & Völkers, sponsor of the Casas Novas CSI World Cup

Such would be the case of the next edition of the Casas Novas CSI World Cup, which will be held between December 7th and 9th at the Casas Novas Equestrian Centre. 

A Tournament With Great International Influence 

The Casas Novas CSI World Cup is a must for enthusiasts of equestrian sports. Its history, which began in the year 2000 to celebrate the opening of the equestrian centre that has given its name to the contest, is starred by some of the most internationally renowned horse riders. The project stems from the love that the daughter of the centre's owner, Amancio Ortega, feels for horses, a passion that also includes riding competition (in which she has been taking part since she was a child). It should be noted that since the year 2004, the International Equestrian Federation has been giving the event a five-star ranking (the highest possible rating). Since 2016, the site has been part of the World Cup calendar. 

Year after year, the event has attracted considerable media interest and has enjoyed excellent attendance. For the next edition, it is expected that nearly 10,000 people will attend the Casas Novas during the three days of competition. 96 riders from 22 countries will compete in the various showjumping tests planned at this event. In total, the participation of 165 horses is expected, and the tournament will also serve to showcase some of the best breeds of horses in the world. 

The Engel & Völkers Trophy and Much More 

The sponsorship of Engel & Völkers has resulted in the tournament bearing the name of the German real estate company. This contest will be one of the first of its kind for the company and is scheduled for the opening day on Friday, December 7th at 5:15 p.m. Specifically, the riders will perform jumps of 1.45 metres in what will undoubtedly be one of the most demanding challenges of the day. Aside from naming this tournament, since Engel & Völkers is one of the main sponsors of the event, it allows the company to link the image of luxury real estate with that of a prestigious championship. 

Along with the Engel & Völkers Trophy, those who visit the Casas Novas Equestrian Centre (and those who follow the event through the available channels) will enjoy another eight first level tournaments. Of course, the main course will arrive on Sunday at 5:00 pm with the Longines FEI World Cup Grand Prix contest with 1.6 metre jumps and lots at stake for all the riders. It should be noted that the facilities of Casas Novas have experienced many contests in which emotions have ran high throughout the shows. The 2018 edition will definitely not be any exception. 

A Unique Environment for Horse Riding ... and Other Events 

Location is the other important factor for the horse riding facilities of Casas Novas. The first thing that catches the attention of the visitor who comes to the Casas Novas Equestrian Centre is the spectacular landscape that surrounds the site. The proximity of the Costa de la Muerte and the tranquility that is breathed in the environment create a very favourable framework to enjoy the intense days during this contest. 

Most readers will undoubtedly remember the wedding between the daughter of Amancio Ortega, Marta Ortega, and Carlos Torretta, held at Casas Novas. Knowing the bride's weakness for the world of horses, it was not surprising in the least that she would choose this venue to say "yes" in front of more than 400 guests among whom the most important personalities from the world of fashion, business and other outstanding figures stood out. As per the photographs taken by the drone that flew over the site, the Equestrian Centre does not fall short on amenities.
