We want to end the month of August, presenting some of the
most beautiful beaches and coves of the Costa Brava.
The
Costa Brava, belonging to the province of Girona
, consists of a coastal strip of 214 km, which includes the
counties of Alt Empordà, Baix Empordà and La Selva.
Speaking of the Costa Brava is synonymous with sun, beach, coves hidden among lush vegetation, crystal clear waters, walks along the coastal paths and charming fishing villages.
It's hard to make a choice, but today, we want to share our best selection.
Cala Bona, Blanes
Also known as
Cala Sant Francesc
, it is the favorite beach of the inhabitants of
Blanes
. It is located about 2 km from the center of the town.
Its sand is thick pink, about 200 meters long and 35 wide.
Cala Bona
is surrounded by pine trees, which provides pleasant shade when the temperature is high.

Blanes.
Es Codolar Beach, Tossa de Mar
At the foot of the walls of the
Tossa de Mar
wall and with medieval style, is the
Playa d'Es Codolar.
A charming beach with typical colored boats, ready to sail. The cove is visible from the high walls of
Vila Vella
and is about 60 meters wide and 80 meters long.
Protected from the north wind, its water is very transparent and becomes deep a few meters from the shore. It has a natural habitat for numerous species of fish, which makes it an ideal place for lovers of diving.
Sant Feliu de Guixols beach
Located in the urban area of the town of
Sant Feliu de Guíxols
. Protected from the wind by a breakwater from the pier to the north and by
Punta de Garbí to the south.
With granulated sand and a sandy bottom with rocky parts, this beach has a length of 450 meters by 53 meters.
An ideal beach, easily accessible to enjoy with family and children.
Cove of Illa Roja, Begur
With more than 180 meters in length and 65 in latitude, surrounded by impressive ravines,
Cala Illa Roja
is one of the most beautiful coves on the
Costa Brava.
Its name is due to the fact that it has a huge red rock on it, added to its transparent and blue water, which makes it an idyllic place, known as an oasis in nature.
La Illa Roja has fewer hours of sunshine than the surrounding beaches and has a small beach bar that is usually set up during summer.
Cala Aiguablava, Begur
We are in one of the most popular coves in Catalonia.
Cala Aiguablava is one of our favourites
.
Its sand is fine, and its turquoise water makes it unmistakable. It is about 80 meters long and 40 meters wide, in addition to its landscape setting that makes it unique.
Located south of
Begur
with privileged views over the bay, it is accessible both by road and by boat.
Cala Aigua Xelida, Tamariu
L'Aigua Xelida
is a cove on the
Costa Brava
. It is located in the
Begur
area and belongs to the town of
Tamariu (Baix Empordà).
It is a very small cove with only 25 meters long and about 12 meters wide. Its sand is fine, its crystal clear water, full of rocks and an abundant aquatic ecosystem ideal for snorkeling or diving.
Its
views are spectacular,
and it invites you to walk along the coastal path, between trees and rocks.
The Costa Brava has dreamlike beaches and coves, so our selection is just an appetizer of what all its kilometers of coastline offer.
We invite you from Engel & Völkers Costa Brava Sud to visit and enjoy them, as well as the surrounding landscapes and towns.
