Accordingly, we find that the high demand for real estate for sale and the current shortage of supply have led to a rise in prices in recent years. In the 60 housing markets analyzed by Engel & Völkers in Germany, house prices rose by an average of 7.4 per cent, compared to the previous year, with apartments rising by 5.4 per cent. Despite these price dynamics, our team at Engel & Völkers Germany continues to rate the purchase of a property as positive. This balance is made up of the strong economic situation, pronounced wage increases and low mortgage rates.
