These are specifically:
a) Google Analytics
To analyse the use of our website, we use the Google Analytics web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Information generated on the basis of cookies regarding the use of the website is usually transmitted to Google’s server in the U.S.A., where it is stored. We use Google Analytics exclusively with the “ga (‘set’, ‘anonymizeIp’, true)” extension to ensure that IP addresses are only processed in an abbreviated version and any direct reference to individual persons is excluded. Google may provide the data to third parties if required by the law or if the third parties process the data based Google’s authorisation. If Google-ID is available, the data control unit collects these data also from all other devices (e.g. if the users use a smartphone or PC) in order to analyse user behaviour through all devices. Social media plugins
Our website uses social media plugins offered by all major social networks (e.g. Facebook and Twitter). When you visit the website, browsing information may be transferred directly to the relevant social networks, even without direct interaction by the users. The users confirm and agree that the social network plugins are operated directly by the company that offers the relevant plugin. If the users use plugins via the website (e.g. when they log in using their social network access details or combine their accounts), they click on the relevant button (e.g. Facebook’s “Like” or “Share”) and thus contact the server of this social network, which will then send the contents of the plugin directly to the user’s browser.
Therefore, in conformity with the terms of use and the provisions on personal data protection on the given social network, we can obtain data on users which we can assign to personal data which we have already collected via our own services. If a user decides to share information with social networks, the user also provides us, e.g. with information on his/her preferences. If you wish to prevent social networks from collecting user personal information, please consult the terms and conditions on the website of the relevant social network.
The following websites are useful, in particular:
a) Facebook
Our website uses Facebook Social Plug-Ins operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). If the users go to the Engel & Völkers’ website via Facebook or vice versa, the user’s browser will contact directly Facebook’s servers. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the user’s visit to his/her Facebook account. If the user reacts via plugins, e.g. when the user clicks on the “Like” button or writes a comment, the relevant information is transferred directly from the user’s browser to Facebook, where it is saved. You can find the purpose and scope of data processing by Facebook, beyond the relevant user rights and privacy settings options, in Facebook’s Data Policy.
b) Google “+1”
Our website uses the “+1” interface of the Google Plus social network, operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). If the user clicks on the “+1” button, the browser connects the user directly with the Google servers. The contents of the “+1” interface are transferred directly from Google to the user’s browser; from there, they are integrated into the website. You can find the purpose and scope of data processing by Google, beyond the relevant user rights and privacy settings options, in the “+1” Privacy Policy.
c) Twitter
Our website uses the functions of the Twitter microblogging service, provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom Street, Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Using the Twitter functions, the pages that the user visits will be connected with his/her Twitter account, where they will be published for other users. During this process, the data are also transferred to Twitter.
We do not have information on the manner, contents and scope of the data transferred. The user can modify the privacy settings for Twitter him/herself in his/her account settings. Further information can be found in Twitter Privacy Policy.
If you want to prevent the providers of the relevant social media plugins from collecting user personal data, you can unsubscribe from the social network at the beginning of your visit to the website and erase any cookies from your browser.
