Don Andrés Cifuentes Prada y Rodríguez bought this recreational farm from Don Cipriano Cuervo as proxy of Doña Javiera Rodríguez de Vales, according to the deed of July 14, 1856, a farm that was reformed in 1901 by the wealthy indiano Gumersindo García Cuervo on his return from Havana and designed by Manuel del Busto. In 1914 it was acquired by Don Víctor Felgueroso, a mining entrepreneur, and remained in his family until 1977. In 1989, the engineering company Erpo S. A. took over the mansion. The staircase, some moldings, and ornaments such as mosaics, stained glass and hand-painted tiles have been maintained. Its semi-hexagonal tower, attached to the main facade, is distinguished by its zinc needle dome. Outside there is a private forest that preserves ancient trees with a singular beauty, landscaped areas and a swimming pool with generous dimensions and contemporary design. Undoubtedly, this palace will be unique in Gijón as it will house luxury apartments, preserving original architectural elements and gardens.
