The municipality covers the southern part of Vallagarina, from the western bank of the Adige river to Monte Baldo. It borders to the east with Dolcè, with which it shares the Veronese Vallagarina, to the south with Rivoli Veronese, to the west with Caprino Veronese and Ferrara di Monte Baldo (from which it is separated by Monte Corna), to the north with Trentino-Alto Adige (province of Trento, municipality of Avio). It covers an area of about 26 km² and is located at an altitude - on average - of 137 m s.l.m. Near the district of Pian di Festa, located on the slope of Monte Baldo west of Rivalta, the altitude reaches 650 m s.l.m. The town is crossed in its length by two parallel roads, one driveway and the other railway, which descend from Trentino to Verona. The crossing of the Adige is guaranteed by a bridge that connects the village of Rivalta to the municipality of Dolcè.
