Malá Strana is a historical town located on the left bank of Vltava. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful Prague’s quarters. Abundance of impressive developments and interesting places such as Kampa Island surrounded by Čertovka, Malostranské Square with St. Mikuláš Church, Maltézské Square, Újezd with railway to Petřín, Štefánikova Hvězdárna, Petřín Tower, and abundance of gardens (Kinského, Petřínské sady, Schönbornská). These gardens including Petřín and the surroundings create a green oasis located right in the middle of the city in Malá Strana. Malá Strana is a political, cultural, and administrative center. Both Czech national parliament parties reside here as well as many other executive powers along with the Czech Music Museum and Kampa Museum. The area also offers full public amenities including preschools, elementary schools, famous high schools, Charles University, Music Art Academy, hospitals, pharmacies, and abundance of shops and restaurants. In regards to transportation, you can get to the city center from Malá Strana in 10 minutes in several ways. There are tram stops, bus stops, and the railway to Petřín. Car traffic was made easy due to the new truck prohibition law which does not allow trucks to go through the historical center. The Strahovský Tunnel diverts traffic and eases it considerably. Malá Strana is simply the ideal location for culture, social life, and nature lovers.
