Muralto: Location and surroundings of this property

The municipality of Muralto lies on the sunny northern shore of Lake Maggiore. In the meantime, the municipality has grown together with neighbouring Locarno and partly takes on centre functions for the latter. The Locarno railway station, where two railway lines (to Bellinzona and to the Centovalli) end, is also located in the municipality. On 31 December 2007 the municipality had 2,949 inhabitants.
