Liège: A new team at the helm of the Engel & Völkers agency
Since this summer, there have been some changes at Engel & Völkers in Liège!
Jean-François Denis, together with two SME brokers, Yves Bessemans and Fréderic Loverius from Copilot, are the new owners of the branch, located right in the centre of the Cité Ardente.
Explanations
Jean-François Denis has managed a number of Engel & Völkers estate agencies in Brussels for over 10 years. This summer, he seized the opportunity to become a franchise partner of the group. He is now the new manager of the agency on rue Saint-Paul.
"Since the end of July, we've been working on revitalising the agency's marketing and structure, in line with the Engel & Völkers concept," says Denis, who had wanted to set up his own business several years ago. "We're now in the middle of our commitment and business development phase. We have a team of 6 agents and trainees, but given the size of the geographical area and its potential, we're still looking for five more talented people" (discover the job offers).
In the short term, the ambition is to consolidate residential property brokerage and raise the profile of the Liège branch of Engel & Völkers. In the medium term, the new partners hope to create a unit specialising in new-build property, as well as another in commercial property. "The market in Liège is very active and the volume of transactions is high (€1.2 billion)," says our contact. "We're confident in our agency's potential, and we're putting all our energy, expertise and resources into developing it.
A region with many assets
Specialising in the sale of quality properties in the centre of Liège, the agency also targets properties in the Liège arrondissement. "Our flats start at €150,000 and houses at €250,000. The majority of our transactions are in the €200,000 to €900,000 bracket," continues Jean-François Denis. "The advantage of the Liège region is that, for both individuals and investors, quality properties are much more accessible than in Brussels. Liège also has a lot going for it: a green environment, a dense business fabric, a dynamic atmosphere and very friendly people!
According to Jean-François Denis, the benefits of the association with Copilot are manifold. "Firstly, it allows us to benefit from the contacts that the company has built up in the Liège region. Secondly, when a company is sold, the new shareholders sometimes also want to sell certain property assets or acquire new ones as an investment. This is where Engel & Völkers can help.
Finally, Copilot's expertise in the sale of company shares is a very useful complement to our real estate expertise in the management of corporate real estate assets.
