Mittersill is a town in the state of Salzburg and is located at about 790 m above sea level. With 5424 inhabitants, it is the largest town in Oberpinzgau. Its central location between the Hohe Tauern National Park and the Kitzbühel Alps makes Mittersill a popular holiday and leisure destination. The national park center in the middle of Mittersill is a unique alpine adventure world for children and adults. Mittersill-Hollersbach-Stuhlfelden lies between the 3,000 m peaks of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the gentle grass mountains of the Kitzbühel Alps. Embedded in these two mountain ranges, the impressive mountain landscape could not be more attractive for hikers.
