Demand certificateIf you spend your winter holiday in tranquil Zwieselstein at just under 1,500 metres, all roads are open to you. And that in the truest sense of the word, as the small village with around 150 inhabitants is in a unique location in the middle of the ski areas of Sölden, Gurgl and Vent. Quiet yet centrally located, Zwieselstein is the ideal starting point for a winter holiday in the Ötztal. Whichever way you turn, Zwieselstein offers countless opportunities every day to actively experience the variety of winter in the Ötztal. For example, on the circular trail into the Venter Valley, which can be skied in either classic or skating style and leads through magical winter landscapes along the Venter Ache river. Halfway along the trail, you can stop off at the Bodenegg snack station to recharge your batteries for the return journey. 56 lifts and 256 kilometres of pistes in all levels of difficulty can be found in the three ski areas of Sölden, Gurgl and Vent. And right in the middle is Zwieselstein, which leaves you spoilt for choice every day. But you don't have to be spoilt for choice, because with the Ötztal Superskipass (valid for 3 days or more) you can try out all the valley's ski areas. Zwieselstein is very easy to reach by car and practically impossible to miss: From the Ötztal motorway exit, follow the Ötztalstraße (B 186) into the valley and pass Sölden in the direction of Gurgl or Vent before you reach the entrance to Zwieselstein. A relaxed journey to Ötztal is also possible by train. There are direct connections from various countries to Ötztal-Bahnhof, the gateway to Ötztal. From the station forecourt, take the bus to Zwieselstein.
