It is a small, cattered settlement on the Rofan mountain range, beautifully situated and in an absolutely quiet mountain environment. The village is accessible via a 10 km long, very good road from Achenkirch. Wonderful hiking trails invite for walking, woods are directly accessible from the property and Steinberg is an insider's tip for connoisseurs of Tyrolean mountain culture. Since 2003 there have been several daily bus connections (line 7801) between Steinberg and Achenkirch. By car it takes just a few minutes to reach Achensee where is a very good infrastructure and nice shopping facilities. You will also find excellent gastronomy around the Achensee, as well as in Steinberg. Sporting opportunities such as Sailing invite not only locals to the lake in summer. Golf courses at the Achensee invites golfers, and in winter the cross-country ski trail in Achenkirch is highlight. The access is possible via the A12 as well as via the Tegernsee. Innsbruck can be reached in about 50 minutes by car and the border to Germany is about 30 minutes away via Kufstein. Finally, it should be mentioned that snow clearance in winter is excellent.
