Mijas Pueblo is the beautiful centre of the extensive municipality of Mijas, which is over 400 metres above sea level and about 10 km from the coast. The area of Mijas Pueblo is located in the north of the municipality, bordering the districts of Ojén, Alhaurín el Grande, Alhaurín de la Torre, Benalmádena and Fuengirola.
