A Singular Space in The Heart of Central London

Constructed in 1894, 8 Francis Street was originally a sorting office for the Royal Mail before the 120,000 sq ft building was purchased by Alessandro Crivelli, who had gained recognition for developing Milan’s iconic fashion district, Zona Tortona and the building in Tribeca New York that hosts the eponymous film festival, as well as New York Fashion Week. Initially securing planning permission for 122 flats, in the end, a more sympathetic design of just 9 incredible apartments was decided on, as well as commercial space that would become the offices of Simon de Pury, Tom Ford and Marc Newson. Entered on the second of just three floors, this near 4,500 sq ft, four bedroom, four bathroom apartment is the home of Marc Newson CBE and Charlotte Stockdale - international design and fashion icons. Marc is renowned as an era-defining designer and engineer famously working with the likes of Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Qantas, Nike and Mont Blanc. His influence is everywhere. Marc worked alongside Jonathan Ive co designing the Apple Watch, but is perhaps most famous for his Lockheed Lounge seat for which Marc set the record for the highest price achieved at auction by a living designer. Similarly Charlotte, previously described as “the right hand woman to Karl Lagerfeld”, is renowned as one of the most cutting edge fashion stylists on the planet. She has been an editor at Vogue and I.D, working with such fashion royalty as Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Fendi and Jo Malone.
